Governor's Schools

The Governor's Schools of West Virginia are residential summer sessions for academically and/or artistically talented students from across West Virginia.  The programs currently offered are the Govenor's Honors Academy, the Governor's School for the Arts, and the Governor's School for Mathematics and Sciences.  

Governor's Honors Academy
The Governor's Honors Academy (GHA) offers students who are currently juniors in high school the opportunity to live and learn with 164 other outstanding West Virginia scholars in a three-week residential experience.

Governor's School for the Arts
The Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) is a summer residential program for tenth grade students who excel in writing, dancing, singing, music, acting, drawing/painting, and other areas of art and design.

Governor's School for Mathematics and Sciences
The West Virginia Governor’s School for Mathematics and Science (GSMS) is a summer residential program providing academic enrichment in the areas of science and math for current 7th and 8th graders living in and attending school in West Virginia.
